As a valued member of our staff, we expect that you assist with oversight of the day-to-day functions of the resident’s and community while providing assistance and support to all in a manner that ensures health, safety and happiness of all that reside in, visit, or work in our community.
LVN (at minimum) with education/experience in geriatric field
Two (2) years experience in a health care setting, preferably memory care
Current First Aid certificate
Excellent written and oral communications skills, follow instructions and communicate effectively in English
Exhibits initiative, energy, and creativity to enhance the social, physical, and emotional needs of residents
Must be well organized and have demonstrated ability to form positive working relationships with older adults, families, volunteers, and co-workers
Available to work some weekends
Able to pass criminal background.
Education and experience in memory care and dementia services a plus
Duties include but not limited to:
Schedule and conduct training, in- service and orientation of staff.
Coordinates with physicians, outside providers and families regarding resident’s condition.
charting, assisting with activity programs and meals
offering supportive and professional care to all residents
encouraging independence with a caring attitude
other duties as may be required or necessary to properly support residents care needs
Assist with daily activity programs as needed
Ability to perform light to moderate physical activities
Ability to work with, and chart for several residents
